For the first time at Turing Fest, we're hosting small-group sessions, giving you the chance to get hands-on and learn with our speakers
In this half-day workshop, veteran UX designer Chris Messina and clinical psychologist Dr Emily Anhalt offer insights into what’s broken about entrepreneur culture, how things got to be this way, and why things like struggle porn create the delusion that this is fine. They will help you take concrete steps towards a healthier and more aspirational future. Through experiential activities, they teach the requisite skills that encourage safe exploration of vulnerability, self-care, and community, and will help participants kickstart their own ongoing emotional fitness regimen.
Taking lessons from the fundamentals of neuroscience, Kirsty's experience presenting in corporate environments and what she learned from a surprisingly successful stint in stand up comedy, this workshop helps people understand not only how to present better on stage and have effective conversations, but also to let go of their inhibitions, find the fun in failure and to create the confidence to put themselves out there.
